AnesthesiaWeb is an independent educational resource by and for anesthesia providers. This site is supported by an unrestricted educational grant from Abbott Laboratories in partnership with Duke University.

AnesthesiaWeb seeks to present contemporaneous peer-reviewed information of interest and impact on current anesthesia practice. Content areas are diverse, and include (but are not limited to) ambulatory care, bioengineering, critical care, managed care, medical infomatics, pediatrics, and pharmacology.

All editorial content is determined by the Anesthesia Department of Duke University Medical Center and an independent board of practicing and teaching anesthesiologists from leading institutions across the nation. The current chair of the AnesthesiaWeb Editorial Board is David Lubarsky, MD.

There is no charge for access to AnesthesiaWeb; however, registration is required. Use is restricted to medical professionals.

The information provided by AnesthesiaWeb comes from a variety of sources. For this reason, responsibility for determining the validity of the information provided rests with the treating health care provider.
