David Watkins, M.S., Ph.D., M.D.  (Associate Member)

"The excitement of anesthesiology lies in its interdisciplinary nature. Although considerable attention has been devoted to the fiscal and organizational aspects of U.S. healthcare, there has never been a better time to rethink AND IMPLEMENT the best practices of patient care and resource allocation. This can be most effectively led by professionals who understand: (a) the highest standards of clinical practice; (b) innovations in science and technology; and, (c) contemporary organizational management. My goal is to actively contribute to the process of merging these critical components such that our collective contributions to healthcare will be a growing source of pride within and outside our specialty."
