The Big Issue--The Digital Revolution: Where Do We Go From Here?

With the free time afforded
by the post-holiday season (no?), the philosophical mood of the new year,
and the approaching new millennium, I would like to suggest a little different
reading for those with an interest in the present technological revolution.
Without specific critical
editorial review I would recommend the entire December, 1996 edition of
Forbes ASAP entitled "The Big Issue--The Digital Revolution: Where Do We Go From Here?". This issue is divided into: History and Politics; Private
Life; Science and Technology; Public Life; and Last Words. Associated with
each division are the thoughts of a number of opinion leaders related to
what the growing role of information technology means to them. You may not
agree with what they say, but the ideas are important reference points for
the future.
