CliniWeb
serves as an "index and table of contents for clinical information
on the World Wide Web." The project is led by William Hersh, M.D. Cliniweb
uses The National Library of Medicines Medical Subject Headings (MeSH)
to categorize web information. The experimental search engine is far from
exhaustive. However, the links, in my opinion, are of high quality. The
resource offers the ability to search in multiple languages. With the addition
of access to PubMed, the resource is an excellent way to quickly find quality
clinical information on-line.

The
National Library of Medicine Web Gateway is a new tool that enables
individuals to delve into multiple NLMS resources and databases using a
single, simple, web interface. The NLM developed the project for physicians,
other health care providers, researchers, librarians, students, and patients.
The Gateway provides access to MEDLINE/Pubmed, LocatorPlus (for records,
books, serials, AV materials), MedLinePlus (for patient information) and
others. More databases and resources will be added in the near future.

The
Visible Human Project is a multi-year project of the National Library
of Medicine. A male and female cadaver were used to build a complete, anatomically
detailed, three-dimensional, computerized model of the human body. The Visible
Human dataset is used for many ongoing projects in anatomy and is the basis
of new virtual reality medical simulations.
